"These headphones are great noise-cancellers...you can be in a crowded room and not hear a thing, with the volume not even up half-way. I'd say the only real con to these is using them during physical activity: you tend to hear this odd loud sound when the wire bounces against you, i'm assuming this is the noise cancelling technology as you typically don't have this problem with regular stereo headphones. Other than that, there's really nothing, besides the fact that on more than one occation i've lost the cover to the speaker, so I can't use them anymore. Considering the fact that they're [$] there's no real cons that prevented me from buying them again...I'm probably on my 10th or 11th pair of these - been losing the gel cap so I keep having to get new ones."

"BEWARE After buying my 5th pair of skull candy earphones in the past 2 years, I am sooo disappointed in them. As another reviewer mentioned, then tend to break easily in a bag; more like one ear stops working or there's a peeping noise coming out of one ear. I love the quality it provides and it has awesome bass.I'm a college student and I before I would wrap the cord around my mp3 (bad idea) and then I just set it in my bag. In the end I get the same result. I cannot give pros for durability. It's just sad; in two years I've bought 5 of their earphone and headsets of different types and I just can't take it anymore."

"did you use their warranty?"
"I love these headphones. They're very comfortable and they sound great. They have a very rich bass and great clarity. The cord is nice, seems durable, feels silky. The connector is gold plated. These things are just perfect for my iPod. They fit so well that they block outside sound better than most noise-canceling headphones. I can hardly hear anything but my music when I have these on. They're very lightweight, as well. The ONLY thing that I dislike about them is that they don't tell you which side is left or right, but that's not a very big deal, I guess. It just irks me a little bit. These are the perfect replacement for your original iPod earbuds after they've worn out.
Overall, these headphones are a terrific value. I would definitely buy another pair in the future."
Pros:
"These are by far the best headphones I've ever had. I actually have to buy a new pair though, but I've had them for maybe half a year?
i don't recommend you wrapping them around your ipod, or whatever... ecspecially if you do it everday and put it in your pocket (like i do)
it breaks the wires after a while, but that goes for any headphones.
Oh yeah- it's easy to clean since you can remove the silcon ear piece things.
And i also noticed a lot of people saying that they don't like running with them, but i don't have a problem running with them (except for the cord getting in the way) but the sound is still great.

"By chance I bought a pair of these years ago and LOVED them. Now my son has an iPod and after using my Skullcandy headphones, he wanted a pair of his own, instead of the standard earbuds that come with an iPod. I used his iPod headphones for a little while, thinking "how bad can they be? they're an Apple product." Boy was I wrong! The Apple earbuds are awful, compared to the Skullcandy Ink'd Earbuds. We both LOVE our Skullcandy earbuds! Why?
1) They come with 3 different size earbud covers (small, medium, & large) for various size ear canals.
2) The earbud covers are rubbery-smooth, and very comfortable to wear.
3) Because the earbuds fit snug in your ears, they block out a lot of noise, like over-the-ear headphones, but without the bulkiness of those big headphones. And this also helps add to the rich BASS sound that I want to hear with headphones on. I almost feel like there's a sub-woofer in the room with me.
Cons: These earbuds are not great for working out, though. I've used them with my MP3 player while jogging on the treadmill and the constant movement/banging of the cord could be heard through the earbuds. That's about the only bad thing I can think of about these Skullcandy earbuds.
I use them to travel, and they store easily, anywhere. In fact, I have an old eyeglass case that I store my earbuds in. I've found the cord to be plenty long enough too. Could be longer, but that's not a complaint.
Get these...you won't regret it!"
Pros:
"I'm giving them 5 stars for the price... as these are a great set for $10! Initially it took some getting used to the new style of bud. I'm used to the traditional buds, which just slip in. So when i first tried these, i just slipped them in. But they kept coming loose, and the sound sucked... I was annoyed! But...!...I found, that in order to get great sound, I had to pull my ear back with one hand, and insert these with the other (same technique when trying to use those foam ear plugs). when put in properly, the ambient noise is blocked out nicely, and the quality of sound got much better... oh and they stopped slipping out :) by the way, i got the silver ones, but there were no reviews there, so I added one here."
Pros:
"A great buy for the price ([$]) - these fit right in your ear like a pair of earplugs and while they take a little while to get used to - they deliver full, rich sound that sounds unlike anything you've heard with conventional headphones. If you could plug your brain directly into your music player, this would be what it sounded like.I like using these in the gym - though be warned - they will cut off every sound - ambient and otherwise. You will not hear the 100lb dumbbell rolling towards your leg or the fire alarm so be aware of your surroundings!"

Cons:
"Overview:
These are great. The first thing I like is probably the least considered feature of the designer, but since they are basically earplugs with (great) sound, you don't have to run the volume so high to block out noise. Even with no input, I'd say they block about 30+ dB of outside noise. With a little light music, you won't hear a thing.
A must have for Travel:
If you plan to travel soon (and hate the piercing noises emitted by the contents on the airplane or other vehicle) I strongly recommend these.
Block office sounds:
For the office, they block so much sound I've missed the phone ringing. This is good or bad depending on the issues you have with that, but they will block out ambient conversation and noises very well, and again, you don't have to blast your music to block it out. Finally, loud or not, they don't leak sound nearly as much as other headphones, so your co-workers aren't bothered by a constant hissing sound from your ears.
Great for bed and riding:
Their in-ear nature makes them fit snugly, so instead of putting pressure on the outside of your ear canal, you can lie on your ear in bed and not feel the headphone (since its basically IN your ear). The same thing goes for motorcycling, they don't fall out when you put on or take off your helmet (use caution though since they do block a lot of sound!).
Great for computer/netbook/laptop use:
I've used them for Skype and similar talking programs. While there is no mic, you can use the computer's built in one (or an external one). When doing this, I like to wear just one ear so I can hear around me, and my own speaking (yes, they block so much sound you hardly hear yourself with both in your ears!). Since you aren't piping the computer output to speakers, you don't get the echo so common with chatting this way, and you hear the person much more clearly.
Other features:
I like also that the wire is black - its nice to have a little stealth, and it doesn't scream iPod headphones (a theft/mugging target).
At this point I'm unable to comment on durability, I've had mine a few months and they show no signs of wearing out so far. If/when they break, I'll get another pair."
Pros:
"All the reviewer comments in favor of Ink'd Earbuds apply: in-ear design blocks out ambient noise, great bass, replaceable ear bud parts (included) come in various sizes for different ears. These snug buds stay in the ear with little or no ear fatigue after hours of listening. These are the only buds I use with my iPod."
