"Received this camera as a gift. After 8 months of limited use it would no longer turn on. Vivitar would not replace it because I didn't have a receipt. I explained to them that it was a gift but they said tough luck and hung up on me. Don't waste your money. When it did work the pictures weren't very good...." Read Full Review

Great for a kid
"I bought this for my 6 & 9 year old to use. I figured for $50 you couldn't go wrong. I like the large LCD, it was a cool color and it seemed simple enough. It works well for the kids, but I wouldn't use it. It's not very user friendly. I kept having to refer to the manual and had to call customer service to ask about some of the features."

"There will be no impromptu photo taking with this camera! Every setting has to be manually reset every time camera is turned on. No manual included in purchase. Online manual gives instructions that do not work on the camera. Very confusing to operate. If settings are not reset, pictures are not clear, anti-shake required for all photos, yet default setting is off!"
