"In my prior residence I had the smaller version of the Whirlpool 'Thin Twin' and I was happy with it for 10 years -- always dependable, if small capacity. This, the larger version, is better because although still compact it has substantially more capacity -- a larger comforter fits, for example. Very energy efficient and low cost operation, too -- or so the documentation says. My last one had a gas dryer a..." Read Full Review

"I work on these machines two to three days per week. They have constant failure troubles with the water temperature control switch. I have changed out maybe 20 switches since this past August and they continue to fail. I called Whirlpool to ask if they had an ongoing issue with the washer and they didn't know a thing about it. Plan on it to fail if you buy one of these...." Read Full Review

Very energy efficient and low cost operation, too -- or so the documentation says. My last one had a gas dryer and this is electric, so I'll see.
I like that it (still) has dials and buttons, not digital controls, so easy and functional. Yet has enough setting variations to do all washes. Not fancy with a million digital settings and 2-hour cycles like other machines (!), but reliable, sturdy, practical and quick, just what I need.
Good to see Whirlpool did not really change a good product over the years. I hope instead they perfected it; my 1990's model did have 2 or 3 recall notices ('possible fire') requiring repair, which although free was inconvenient to arrange at the time."

"This item has been all we read and experienced before buying. We first ran onto the item in our Marriott Time-Share and loved it. Would highly recommend the machine to everyone"
Pros:
"We use this as our primary washer/dryer in our condo. We've been using it several times a week for 6 months and we love it. Highly recommended."
Pros:
"regular way the product work. But previous product was a smaller stackable."
Pros:
"The product works ok. It doesn't detect dryness well when left on auto."
Pros:
Cons:
"If you need to save space and hide your unit in closet, this is perfect. It has all the bells and whistles of two units but can hidden in a family room closet."
Pros:
Cons:
"Took one low and two high cycles to dry two sheets and two pillow cases and several other small items of cloths. Had a GE 24 inch, worked
fine. purchased a 27 inch Whirlpool and used it
two times and not very good. Too bad we can not test a machine for noise level before purchase."
Pros:
Cons:
"Good product for the money."
Pros:
"There are setting for laundry wash size, temperature, and multiple drying options."
