"I am excited about my Whirlpool microwave,it makes my life so much easier. I can decide in an instant what I want to eat and beep... its ready.



I just replaced it because my old Whirlpool (25 years old) had cooked me many meals and snacks. I really think Whirlpool is a reliable and reputable manufacturer."

"We purchased this model from a different company - either way it is poorly designed and flimsy. The plastic vent cover (above the door) broke near one of the screws when changing the carbon filter because the plastic is very thin in that location. That is poor design because the filter needs to be changed periodically. After about 9 months, the plastic panel on the right (where all the buttons are) started to come loose. When I took it off, I found that it was held on the unit by 4 very thin plastic hooks which all broke. Mind you, it's used by my wife and I (adults), and we haven't abused it. Finally, we were cleaning it the other day (1.5 years since we bought it), and the plastic trim around the door was starting to crack just below the window. I have no idea how that happened, but it's another example of poor design."

"Had to replace my 18 year old whirlpool microwave that finally died, shopped around and this was is an excellent microwave at a relatively low price. My regular appliance dealer showed me similar microwaves at twice the price or inferior models at a similar price.

My family uses a microwave VERY HEAVILY, so a good microwave is very important to us. I especially like the way it does popcorn, it asks you the ounces are in the popcorn bag, so it pops perfectly and much faster than my old microwave. I also like the one-touch "add 30 seconds" button.

Best Buy delivered and installed it very quickly as well. My only complaint was that the installers didn't bring their own step stool and could have done a better job cleaning up. But they did install it well."

"I wanted to use the microwave at least a month before writing a review....so far it's great, it's a very nice microwave and not too noisy. I like how in the little window you get instructions on how to do what you're trying to do (i.e. when defrosting..it displays enter weight, then it displays enter type of food (meat))..it does the same when setting up the clock...I haven't tried any other features but I'm sure I wont be disappointed once I do..."

"my husband picked this one out. i must say he did a great job. it is very quiet, especially shutting the door at night! I also like the 30 second button, instead of 1 minute, and that the turntable is flush with the bottom of the microwave. the installer was very professional and did a great job. my only comment is that i think it took 5 to 7 days to come out to install, which would not have been bad if our old one wasn't broken."

"The microwave works great, my family is very happy with it. The microwave it replaced was flimsy and the door fell apart after some time. This unit is built well, the door is sturdy and should be able to stand up to my kids opening and closing it often. The only thing this microwave didnt come with is a rack inside. Other than that, the price was right, and it performs just fine."

"This microwave is very good, quite and easy to use. Installation requires two people and some basic skills. Remember to remove the glass plate before lifting to hang in place (if mounting over range). I forgot to do this and the plate came crashing to the kitchen floor. New plates are very expensive...$40 +."

"Clearly you get what you pay for...this machine is no exception. It is cheap and it will do the job. We liked that the top outside panel is flat and easy to clean unlike a vent that most models have. We returned it because it was loud and the door feels cheap when it opens and closes. I felt that someone would break it before it's service life was complete. I will probably buy another model from either Whirlpool or Maytag because they are 1" taller than the other models on the market. I could easily live with it and be happy, but I kept shopping because I was willing to spend a little more money. "

"My husband and son had this microwave installed with ease. We did not do the external venting which may have taken longer. The features are nice and easy to use. The venting blows up instead of straight out which makes it much easier to clean. Nice size unit."
