EP Save A Blade Automatic Razor Sharpener

"I bought one when I was in Florida on vacation at the "as seen on tv store", it was money well spent. I used the same razor for the next 2.5 months before I changed it out. It continued to work for another 5 mts before the tab that sharpens it fell off. I plan to get another. From what I've read, this is a problem, but I will try another. It more than paid for itself and my face felt better."

"After buying a Gillette Fusion 4 pack for[$]Idecided on checking this product out. I read some reviews and thought what the heck, I'll give it a shot. Worst case scenario [$]lesson not to buy TV Ad products. After resharpening a razor I had previously thrown out resulted in two back to back clean/smooth shaves. The sharpener was easy to use and surprisingly sharpened the razor. I would say after first try it gave it about 60-70% of its initial sharpness back. I would say this is a worthy purchase to save money over time. I will post again on the lifetime of the shaving of a previously dull blade, sharpened via Save A Blade."

"This product seems to deliver what they say it does. You have to be careful when using that you seat the razor right or you will get a bad sharpening. If you follow the instructions that they give, you will find it works. For all the reviews that say it does not work, I wonder if they read and followed the directions that are given in the product. The product sharpens very well as I used it on old razors to start out and it sharpened them back to a very useful state. I am not sure of the quality of the product when it come to durability. Only time will tell me this. If needed, I will definately purchase this product again."

"This works for the most part the way it's advertised. I used the same two razors for just over a month, alternating one each day. They stayed as sharp as a razor at it's halfway point and that was fine for me. The only problem is, the sharpening strip broke off after only about 6 weeks. The quality is not there. If it was I'd give it 4 or 5 stars, but as it is, I would notsuggest buying it."

"This device has saved us hundreds of dollars. We sharpen the same blade over and over for probably a month and then change it out (they do eventually dull over time). Buying one package of razors every 6 months is so much cheaper than every other week. We've had ours for over 8 months and no problems. It does seem to be losing its sharpening ability though and we're buying a new one. [$] once or twice a year for a sharpener instead of $20/mo on razors? Can't beat that!"

"This poduct works like as it is advertised to work. I purchased one and then intentionally went out and bought a pack of yellow cheap bic razors to give it a real test. I took one out of the bag and wettened the blade and sharpened it before using it. I can honestly say that after 50 shaves later it was still sharp enough to use but it was not quite as sharp as it was when new. To be expected in my mind. But, I was completly satisifed with 50 shaves I got out of the bic razor. It did break half way through toward it's second set of 50 shaves. The piece of rubber or leather came off the device holding it and I reglued it but it never worked as it did before after that. I just purchase my second one a week ago and am on my fifth shave and if it is possible and not imagaination it actually feels sharper than the first shave. I did have to install a battery in it as the one that came in it was not up to snuff."

"Although I expected more,the product did function as stated. Puts an edge back on the razor but "not by any means a pristine one". Do not think this thing is next to sliced bread, but for the money it's adequate. The important thing is wetting the razor before sharpening,If you don't, it does not sharpen evenly and you'll know it on the first draw down your face! All in all ,if you don't mind shaving with a razor comparable to one at half/life, money can be saved on new."

"This is an awsome product!!! I have a huge problem with my husband always using my razors, and its not like he uses them for his face, he shaves his head with them and with in one use they are very dull!!! This product is soooo cool! It is quick and easy!!! I recomend this product to anyone and everyone!!!!"

"Worked well with a wet blade. Best if you sharpen every time you shave.The blades were not as sharp as out of the box but they were sharper then they would have been without it. It worked well until the honing pad fell off the rotating drum. I guess you could fix that with some superglue but I haven't tried that yet. Louder then a leaf blower, but if it was a littler cheaper I would buy another one."

"The Save a Blade was ineffective. When I pressed the button to operated the device, the blades to sharpen my razor hardly rotated or did not rotate at all. After tinkering with the product alittle, I noticed that the casing pressed to tightly onto the sharpening apparatus. If the manufacturer redesigned the product with more power and a casing that did not pinch the blades, I think that Save a Blade would be an effective product everyone should have."
