Perfect for Gymnasts

by shortygymnast on May 05, 2012

"These are the best shorts ever. I am a competitive gymnast, so I work out 5 days a week, for 3 or 4 hours a day. I wear them over my leo. I only have one pair (black with blue trim), but if I had more, I would wear them to practice everyday. I have worn other shorts for practice (GK velvet and nylon/spandex, and adidas climalite) and these are my favorite. I wear them on the day that my practice is the most..."  Read Full Review

Only one downfall

"I love everything about these shorts except for one thing--the "tagless" printing on the inside. When you put the shorts on, the printing pulls and gives the illusion that the shorts are 1) snagged or 2) you have a lumpy butt. I have looked all over the internet and can't believe no one else has this problem. I bought two beautiful colors and plan to return them because of this issue. If Nike hadn't used the tag..."  Read Full Review

I only have one pair (black with blue trim), but if I had more, I would wear them to practice everyday. I have worn other shorts for practice (GK velvet and nylon/spandex, and adidas climalite) and these are my favorite. I wear them on the day that my practice is the most intense (Friday or Saturday) because they are the best at keeping me cool and dry. These shorts are tight, but not squeezing like my other shorts, I can barely feel them. Now, all the girls at my gym want these. I can't wait to get more. Perfect!

Only problem I've noticed is that chalk doesn't clap out of these easily like my other shorts, so I have to wash them before I wear them again. But, if you aren't a gymnast (and therefore don't use chalk), you're fine."

    Pros:

  • Comfortable,
  • Good support,
  • Lightweight,
  • Moisture wicking,
  • Soft,
  • Warm

Comfortable & cool

★★★★★
5.0

"For cardio kick, I've worn loose cotton gym shorts plus bike shorts for coverage, but they defeat the purpose of feeling cool. I now own 2 pair of these, a pink and a black and will definitely get more. I've paired my pink pair under loose black cotton gym shorts making a little fashion statement, but mostly they did the trick by keeping me from looking sweaty in those certain areas :( Personally I wouldn't wear them alone unless I have the perfect rear."

This is a great short

★★★★★
5.0

"I am an avid runner and athlete and ran track competitively in college. I am always searching for the perfect spandex short. I always wear spandex shorts when I work out/run because I feel the most comfortable in them, I don't focus on my shorts-only my workout, and don't have to worry about showing up my shorts when doing lifts or abs on the floor. I love these shorts, although I bought a size Large (I am usually a small/medium) to keep them looser and not "compressing" i.e. muffin-topping my waist. They are perfect. I have black and dark grey and I wear them by themselves....they are quite thin, though, not sure I would wear lighter colors by themselves. The inseam is little, so they are definitely short-shorts. They do ride a tiny bit and expose the upper leg-under butt region."

    Pros:

  • Comfortable,
  • Lightweight,
  • Moisture wicking

I have looked all over the internet and can't believe no one else has this problem. I bought two beautiful colors and plan to return them because of this issue. If Nike hadn't used the tagless printing inside the shorts, I would have rated these as a 5-star product. Because they overlooked this one major issue, I have to give it 2 stars.

If anyone found a way to resolve this issue, I'd love to know because I'd keep these shorts otherwise."

i loveeeeee these shorts!

★★★★☆

"i am a dancer, and have been in the search for some good shorts that i can dance in without tights. these shorts are perfect for that. they're short..not too short..and fit really well. i read some of the other comments saying they had to go up a size to prevent the shorts from squeezing/giving impression of love handles. but i dont find that problem at all. they're not "tight" in that they squeeze my legs, but rather just hold me in and dont move around. there are some cons to this unfortunately. the tag is definitely one. you can see the tag through my shorts if you look closely. its doesnt bother me too much tho. another con is the panty lines! its reallyyyy hard to not show your lining of ur underwear..even with a thong it is somewhat detectable. this was solved though with some seamless panties. overall, these shorts have been great for me! they are the perfect length to dance and kick my legs/ do leaps. but not to short where it reveals anything. i love them!"

    Pros:

  • Comfortable,

yAmazing shorts!

★★★★★
5.0

"I LOVE these shorts! They breath so well I don't even notice them when I'm running. During my most intense runs they stay in place, with that I mean they don't move at all! They do run a little bit small, I thought I would need a Small, but after seeing it I had to go for at Xsmall.

I do have one Warning! The are very see through when you bend over (I was wearing black ones)! Luckily it was my husband who noticed it at the gym and no one else! So make sure you don't wear a thong under these if you don't have anything over them.

I will be buying more of these!"

    Pros:

  • Comfortable,
  • Good support,
  • Lightweight,
  • Moisture wicking,
  • Soft

    Cons:

  • Narrow / tight

BEST SHORTS EVER

★★★★★
5.0

"I absolutley love these shorts, I'm a gymnast, runner, and a dancer and I work out often. These shorts are perfect for everyone of those things. I bought one pair of black ones about a month ago and war them everywhere, I barley had a chance to put them in the wash. I went back and bought 3 more pairs, and can honestly say that they are my most worn athletic shorts. I'm going to purchase more colors as soon as I can!"

    Pros:

  • Comfortable,
  • Lightweight,
  • Moisture wicking

    Cons:

I will buy some more

★★★★☆
4.0

"My husband bought me the black ones in a size medium for my b-day they are form fitting. They give a nice contour. Their not tight on the waist at all. They do fit right under the but which is fine with me as long as they dont show my cheek and front when I do my cardio and strength classes. Their really tight so Im sure they wont. I want to get the grey ones next. I havent had a chance to try the pink yet. I will for sure buy some more. Love them"

    Pros:

  • Comfortable,
  • Lightweight,
  • Moisture wicking,
  • Soft
