"These are probably the Novara equivalent (even same price ) of one of the Pearl Izumi line, similar padding and all, 'cept the P.I. has pastel stretch lycra stuff with flowers all across the back. "Note on the sizing: they fit really close (I took a size large and there's no excess space). So - other than that, they're dandy and highly functional - super-excellent padding. Just be ready to get bigger ones than you may be accustomed to. "
