There are two types of bathroom scales: the compact, floor model kind, or the standing version similar to those used in medical offices. Bathroom scales are available in digital as well as analog versions. Analog scales tend to be simpler and less expensive, while digital scales come with added features and often feature easy-to-read digital displays.
Scales come in a huge variety of colors, styles and sizes, from warm and earthy like the Trimmer Digital Bathroom Scale in Solid Oak, to sleek and modern like the Escali Extra Large Display Bathroom Scale. Some are more industrial and more appropriate for a medical office, while others are designed to fit well in any home.
All scales have an established weight capacity. Buying an appropriately calibrated scale is very important because using a scale that isn't built to accommodate your weight and size will affect its performance or even break it.
